Cboe recently received SEC approval to offer extended trading hours for select multi-listed single-stock options, marking an important update for the U.S. options market.
Effective July 13, 2026, OPRA will support trading hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This change gives traders, researchers, and institutions more time to react to market-moving events, including earnings, economic releases, and global market activity outside of regular trading hours.
Initial symbol list
The anticipated initial symbol list includes some of the most widely followed names in the market:
AAPL, AMD, AMZN, AVGO, BABA, BAC, GOOG, GOOGL, HOOD, INTC, META, MSFT, MU, NFLX, NOK, NVDA, ORCL, PFE, PLTR, TSLA, TSM
What this means for data users
Extended hours mean more options activity to capture, analyze, and understand. Accurate, complete, and unfiltered data will be even more important as trading expands beyond the standard session.
